A deeply sentimental Victorian mourning ring. Lovingly created in rich 15 carat gold and preserving the memory of a dearly loved one.

The ring is designed around a glazed central compartment, which still contains the original lock of blonde hair. A touching and intimate reminder of the person it was made to commemorate. Surrounding the locket and on the shoudlers is a setting of seed pearls, stones traditionally used in mourning jewellery to symbolise tears shed in remembrance.

Inside the band is a simple yet moving inscription 'Sybil Jan 27th 1896'. This original engraving provides a direct connection to the ring's history, preserving the name and date of the individual whose memory it was created to honour over a century ago.

A wonderfully personal Victorian treasure. Combining 15 carat gold, symbolic pearls, original hair work, and a heartfelt dedication into a timeless piece of sentimental jewellery.
