"Mizpah" originates from the Hebrew Bible: “The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another” (Genesis 31:49). In the Victorian era, it became a deeply personal inscription exchanged between loved ones separated by distance such as soldiers, travellers, or star-crossed lovers.

At the centre of this ring rests a finely crafted horseshoe motif set at the centre of which is a single old cut diamond. The combination of Mizpah and the lucky horseshoe creates a layered message of love, fortune, and spiritual guardianship.

The craftsmanship is emblematic of Victorian sentimental jewellery at its height: romantic, symbolic, and imbued with personal meaning. The gold has developed a warm antique patina, while the diamond retains a gentle sparkle ; a subtle reminder of enduring connection.
