A captivating silver ring, dating to the first half of the 20th century, and centred with a remarkable miniature work of art hidden away within the ring.

Created in silver, the ring is designed with a glazed locket style panel showcasing an exquisite cameo of Medusa beneath glass. Beautifully carved with crisp detail, Medusa is depicted with her distinctive serpents woven through her hair, while her serene, classical features give the piece a timeless look.

We are unsure of the exact material from which the cameo has been carved, but its crisp white colour is wonderfully reminiscent of classical marble statuary. A fitting tribute to the mythology and sculpture of ancient Greece and Rome.

Tactile and wonderfully evocative, this is a beautiful collector's ring. Blending classical mythology, miniature artistry, and early 20th century craftsmanship into one romantic piece
