Georgian Owl & Forget me Not Intaglio Fob in 18 Carat Gold; Circa 1830

A delightful and unusual Georgian spinning fob. Combining sentiment and craftsmanship in miniature form its a darling pendant. One side features a hand carved owl in deep bloodstone. A symbol long associated with wisdom, intuition, and quiet observation. When spun, the reverse reveals a pale agate intaglio carved with a delicate flower, likely a forget-me-not, evoking remembrance and love enduring.

The setting is typical of the era, fashioned from a combination of buttery 18 carat gold and base metal, offering a lovely contrast of tone and texture while retaining the charm and practicality of 18th and 19th century design.
