Antique Bloodstone Heraldic Signet Ring in 18 Carat Gold; Circa 1890

A striking Victorian signet ring, created from rich 18 carat yellow gold and set with a deep rectangular bloodstone. It has been finely carved with an intaglio of an arm holding a sword, a powerful heraldic emblem symbolising strength, honour, and readiness.

The setting is tactile, with a beautifully solid feel in the hand. The bold, clean shoulders flow seamlessly into the rectangular mount, allowing the carved bloodstone to take centre stage. The deep green of the stone, flecked with red, perfectly complements the warm glow of the buttery gold. It's certainly an eye catcher. 

This ring captures the essence of Victorian craftsmanship. Substantial, purposeful, and rich in symbolism. Once a personal statement of lineage and pride, it remains today a striking and wearable piece of history.

CONDITION: This is in lovely antique condition overall, the intaglio is in fab condition for its age. There is some historical wear to the edge of the setting, however the stone is secure.
