A jewel that bridges centuries of style, this Victorian signet ring is as striking today as it was over 130 years ago. Made in the 19th century, it features an oval bloodstone a gemstone prized since antiquity for its protective qualities and deep, enduring beauty. The rich green surface, flecked with its characteristic crimson inclusions, was believed to symbolise courage and strength making it a favoured choice for signet rings throughout the ages.
What sets this piece apart is its distinctive six-sided panel setting, an unusual and architectural design. Around the panel sit six delicate beads, each one adding a subtle decorative touch while drawing the eye inward to the polished bloodstone at its heart. The craftsmanship is typical of the Victorian era.
Signet rings like this were once worn as marks of identity and status, often engraved or passed down through generations as heirlooms. Today, their timeless design and historical resonance have made them just as sought after..
