A substantial Victorian signet ring that most definitely catches the eye. Created on an impressive scale in rich 15 carat gold it is super tactile on the hand.
The ring has a beautifully chunky, heavy weight oval signet setting, giving it a lovely presence on the hand. At the centre is a luminous carnelian, glowing warmly against the rich gold.
The carnelian has been hand carved with a heraldic man's profile emerging from a crown, creating a wonderfully unusual and distinctive design. The carving and deep, glowing stone give the ring the feel of a tiny work of art, designed to be worn.
There is something particularly wonderful about the combination of the heavy Victorian gold, richly coloured carnelian and hand carved heraldic imagery. Bold without being overly ornate. A truly impressive antique signet, full of character and wonderfully tactile in scale.
