A bold and rich antique ring combining the rich vivid drama of emerald we as the warm hues of gold. Timeless.
Created in 9 carat gold, this classic antique five stone ring is designed in the ever popular graduating style. The timeless setting has remained a favourite for generations, prized for its balance and enduring appeal.
At its heart are three beautifully matched cushion cut emeralds, their rich green tones bringing life and character to the design. Flanking them are two further green stones which, on examination, appear to be later replacements. One tests as paste, while the other is believed to be either quartz or possibly a green garnet, although it does not provide a conclusive reading with our equipment.
Rather than detracting from the ring, these later additions tell a familiar story. Antique jewellery was made to be worn, loved and repaired, often over many decades and by successive generations. The result is a ring full of character and authenticity. A piece that bears the evidence of a life well lived.
