Antique Curb Chain Ring in 9 Carat Gold; Circa 1890

A tactile antique ring. Created from 9 carat gold curb chain links and believed to have begun life as a Victorian chain before being historically transformed into this rather fabulous ring.

The substantial curb links have been beautifully joined together to create a super tactile band, with each individual link retaining its own movement and character. There is something particularly satisfying about the weight and texture of the curb chain against the finger as well as the original marks on each link. 

The warm 9 carat gold has that lovely aged glow, while the chunky links give the ring a bold yet quality. It feels substantial; a piece that can be worn every day and still feel rather special.
