Victorian Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring in 18 Carat Gold; Circa 1860

An exceptionally striking Victorian era diamond ring, designed in a bold cruciform cluster that makes a powerful statement on the hand.

At the centre of the design are four substantial old cut diamonds, their hand cut facets full of depth and character. These are beautifully complemented by four smaller rose cut diamond in between each old cut on the outside. Resulting in a balanced composition that enhances the cross shaped form. The contrast between the old cuts and rose cuts adds texture, a hallmark of fine Victorian design.

With an estimated total diamond weight of approximately 1.3 carats, this ring has an impressive presence on the hand. The diamonds display wonderful life and movement, catching the light with the soft, flickering sparkle unique to antique stones cut by hand rather than machine.
