Antique Diamond Secret Compartment 'MIZPAH' Ring Created In 18 Carat Gold; Circa 1870

The hinge and locket on the panel is in great working order and when you lift this open you find the motto ‘MIZPAH has been perfectly picked out in relief. The pronounced nature of the font makes this an especially good example.

WEIGHT: 3.96 grams approximately

CONDITION: Overall this is in lovely condition for its age. The locked compartment shuts tightly. The band looks to have had some work done during its life time possibly with signs of wear including a possible hair line crack which looked to have been repaired. As with all jewellery, especially antique, they should be worn with love and extra care!
