A wonderful and unusual Victorian spinning fob, rich in character and personal meaning.
Set within an ornate gold cased mount, the fob is designed with a triple rotating panel, allowing each stone to be turned and displayed. This interactive feature adds both charm and versatility, making it as interesting as it is decorative.
The first panel is formed from rock crystal, delicately engraved with the name “Ada,” suggesting a deeply personal connection. The second is a bloodstone intaglio, carved with a heraldic motif and motto with intense detail. The third panel, again in rock crystal, is engraved with the French word “Croyez,” meaning “Believe” or “Trust,” a simple yet powerful sentiment.
The combination of personal name, heraldic imagery, and symbolic motto makes this fob particularly special. Beautifully made and full of intrigue, this is a rare and characterful Victorian piece, perfect for collectors of fobs, seals, and sentimental antique jewellery
