Antique Garnet & Blister Pearl Ring 18 Carat Gold; Circa 1875

Created in 1875 from rich 18 carat gold this antique jewel is packed with the sort of intricate detail that makes antique jewellery so captivating.

The generous top features a central blister pearl, flanked on either side by rich almandine garnets. The larger proportions of the stones give the ring a wonderful  presence.

What really elevates this ring is the band. Rather than being a simple supporting structure, it is a substantial and beautifully decorated piece in its own right. The broad 18 carat gold band has been ornately hand engraved with elaborate floral motifs, with scrolling botanical decoration covering much of the surface. There is so much to discover in this ring!

A ring that rewards a closer look, this is tactile, substantial and wonderfully detailed. A jewel where the band is almost as beautiful as the stones it carries.
