Vintage Sapphire Solitaire in 9 Carat Gold; Circa 1968

A beautifully striking vintage sapphire ring dating to the late 1960s, designed with a nod to earlier Victorian styling. The centrepiece is a deep royal blue oval cut sapphire, rich in colour and full of depth, set to command attention on the hand.

The sapphire is held in a six claw setting, allowing light to enter freely from all angles and enhancing the natural brilliance and flashes of light within the stone. Created in 9 carat yellow gold, the warm tone of the gold contrasts perfectly with the saturated blue of the sapphire, giving the ring an elegant and timeless presence.

Although created in the mid 20th century, the design is unmistakably inspired by Victorian aesthetics, with its refined proportions and traditional setting style. The ring remains in lovely vintage condition, with only a small, subtle chip to one edge of the sapphire. CONDITION: This is in good vintage condition - as noted above there is subtle chip to one edge of the sapphire. The depth of colour and setting make this subtle.
