Antique Foliage Ring in Silver; Circa 1890

A striking antique ring with a bold, design and a beautiful presence on the hand. This Victorian piece is wonderfully versatile, making a dramatic statement worn alone while also lending itself effortlessly to stacking with other rings.

The continuous design that encircles the band is decorated with finely engraved foliage. Delicate berries and leaves flow rhythmically around the finger, framed by polished borders along the top and bottom. The engraving is crisp and expressive, showcasing the craftsmanship of the period.

Measuring almost 10mm in width, the ring has a strong and satisfying presence. Created in silver, it retains a warm, luminous tone that enhances its antique character.

On close inspection, there is evidence of a significant historical size reduction, with fine internal cracks visible. These signs of age do not detract from the ring’s beauty or wearability, but serve as a reminder of its long life and the care with which antique jewellery should be worn.

CONDITION: due to the scale of this ring this is a lovely wearable piece. It looks to have been historical sized possibly which has resulted in some cracks and wear however it is secure and ready to wear.
