Antique Citrine & Pearl Pendant in Silver & Gold

An exquisite Victorian pendant, delicately crafted with a glowing oval citrine framed by graceful fern fronds and clusters of lustrous seed pearls. A small floral drop with a single pearl terminal completes the piece, lending it a romantic, naturalistic charm.

The fern motif held special significance in the 19th century  A symbol of sincerity, fascination, and eternal youth. Ferns were beloved in the Victorian “language of plants,” often worn to express affection and quiet admiration.

The warm golden hue of the citrine pairs beautifully with the soft shimmer of the pearls, creating a jewel that feels both radiant and serene. One tiny pearl is missing, consistent with its age and story. 

A beautiful survivor from the naturalistic era of Victorian jewellery.  Rich in meaning and unmistakably romantic.

CONDITION: This is in lovely antique condition with a fine overall patina to the metal and stones. There is one pearl missing as noted above.
