Vintage Signet Ring fin 9 Carat Gold

A impressive signet ring, created in 1985 yet deeply inspired by the strength and symbolism of historical heraldic rings.

Created in solid 9 carat gold, the ring has a satisfyingly chunky weight. With is timeless profile it has a strong and confident presence on the hand. The design deliberately harks back to earlier signet rings, echoing the enduring appeal of antique heraldic jewellery.

The face of the ring is intricately engraved with the motto “Ferme En Foy” translating fro Steadfast in Faith. Accompanying the motto is a wonderfully detailed scene of a lion hunting a wildebeest, rendered with wonderful depth. The carving is rich in texture and character, giving the piece a dramatic feel. 

The lion has long symbolised courage, strength, and nobility, while the motto reinforces themes of loyalty and conviction, making the ring feel deeply symbolic as well as visually powerful. A timeless ring whose look and design will never age.
