Antique Victorian Dog Intaglio Fob Pendant

A charming Victorian fob pendant, wonderfully small in scale yet full of character.

The piece is formed with a simple gold cased setting, elegant in its understated design and perfectly proportioned as a wearable pendant. Suspended below is a beautifully engraved paste intaglio, glowing with unusual mossy green and golden hues that shift subtly in the light.

Carved into the surface is the figure of a hunting dog, delicately rendered with lovely movement. Animal intaglios such as this were popular during the Victorian era, often reflecting personal interests, sporting pursuits, or admired qualities such as loyalty and companionship.

The loop has been created in solid 9 carat gold, making the piece easy and practical to wear on a modern chain while retaining all its antique charm.
