Antique Opal & Ruby Pendant in 9 Carat Gold; Circa 1900

A lovely, simple pendant dating to the turn of the century, centred around a lively oval opal that flashes with beautiful shades of green and blue.

Surrounding the opal is a halo of rich rubies, their deep red and pink tones creating a striking contrast against the cooler colours of the opal. The stones are all set into warm 9 carat gold, giving the piece a soft understated feel.

Simple enough to wear every day but with plenty of colour and character, this is a wonderfully wearable little jewel. A charming example of turn of the century jewellery that feels just as lovely today.

HALLMARK: Hallmarked (375) 9 Carat Gold and Crown on the top of the setting

CONDITION: This is in lovely antique condition with only a fine patina across the stones and gold.
