Antique Triple Intaglio Wishbone Pendant in Silver

A deeply sentimental and rather unusual Victorian triple seal fob. The beautifully crafted jewel is full of personal history as well as tactile movement. 

Suspended within a wishbone form frame, the fob is designed with three revolving agate intaglios, each turning independently to reveal a different engraving. This ingenious rotating design made these fobs both practical and highly decorative.

The first agate is engraved with a monogram, the second bears the name “Edith” in a beautiful handwritten script, while the third is inscribed with the touching sentiment 'So I To Thee'. The motto sits above a finely engraved flower turning towards the sun a poetic image symbolising loyalty and unwavering affection, much as a flower instinctively follows the light.

Each of the three seals is carved from natural agate, their subtle tones providing a beautiful contrast to the crisp silver mount. Together they create a piece that is not only visually captivating but also rich in personal meaning. The scale is also rather impressive when worn.
