Antique Mother of Pearl Shibayama Cigarette Holder with Box

A rare and exquisite Victorian cigarette holder, dating to 1881, crafted from a luxurious combination of 9 carat rose gold and shimmering mother of pearl. Adorning the surface is a single Shibayama inlay bug, a delicate example of the Japanese decorative technique that became highly fashionable in Europe during the Victorian era.
