Antique Garnet & Pearl Brooch; Circa 1900

A Edwardian garnet and pearl brooch, beautifully created in 9 carat gold and full of the light, flowing elegance that defines the period.

At its centre sits a rich deep red garnet, glowing with a rich depth. Surrounding the stone is an elegant arrangement of scrolling goldwork, its delicate swirling lines creating a wonderfully fluid and organic design that is unmistakably Edwardian in style.

The graceful curves are accented with graduating seed pearls, whose lustre complements the rich colour of the garnet. Pearls were a favourite gemstone of the Edwardian era, admired for their natural beauty
