Antique Victorian Diamond 'Billy' Ring in 18 Carat Gold; circa 1899

An unusual piece of Victorian sentimental jewellery unlike any we've seen before. Dating to 1899 this antique ring has been created in warm 18 carat gold and glistens and glows in the light. 

The ring is designed around the name ‘Billy’, with every letter set entirely with old cut diamonds. Their unique facets catch the light with that distinctive antique fire and sparkle, bringing a beautiful sparkle to the name.

There is something special about jewellery centred around someone's name. Personal and intimate, these pieces were often made to celebrate someone dearly loved, making this ring a fascinating glimpse into the sentimental traditions of the Victorian era.

CONDITION: The ring is lovely and expected condition for a ring of this age with overall patina of wear. As can been seen the band has thinned a little at the back but is ready to be worn and loved. All diamonds are present tough there is some variation in hue of the diamond tones.
