Antique Bloodstone Ouroboros Serpent Ring in 9 Carat Gold

Created in 1912 from warm 9 carat rose gold, the ring has a pleasing, timeless signet profile. Classic in form and comfortable on the hand. The soft blush tone of the gold enhances its antique feel and gives it a gentle, wearable warmth. Something so cherished form antique jewellery today. 

Set to the centre is a substantial oval bloodstone, rich in deep green tones with subtle natural red inclusions. The surface of the stone has been more recently engraved with a striking knotted ouroboros. The ancient symbol of a serpent consuming its own tail, representing eternity, renewal, and the cyclical nature of life.

This later carving brings a fresh story to the piece, breathing new life into the antique setting while respecting its original character. The result is a fascinating marriage of old and new. A historic ring reimagined with symbolic meaning.

Condition: This is overall good antique condition with a patina to of wear to the gold and stone. As can be seen the back of the band where the stone is there is damage to the setting however this is secure and smooth the wear.
