Antique Victorian Peal & Turquoise Ring in 15 Carat Gold; Circa 1870

A wonderfully unusual Victorian ring. This ornate jewel has been designed in rich 15 carat gold and featuring a striking geometric setting.

The ring is beautifully composed with geometric detailing incorporating delicate rows of seed pearls alongside turquoise stones. The soft creamy lustre of the pearls sits beautifully against the vivid blue green turquoise, creating a wonderful contrast with the warm golden tone of the mount. Following down the shoulder we have higher ornate floral engraving. 

There is something particularly charming about the design. more structured and architectural than many Victorian rings, yet softened by the delicate pearls and vibrant turquoise. It has a lovely sense of symmetry and feels wonderfully characteristic of the Victorian era.

HALLMARKING: Hallmarked for 15 carat gold

CONDITION: the ring is in good antique condition with only a fine patina overall with a historical sizing mark at the back of the band. Some pearls are a little worn heifer due to the small size it doesn’t effect the overall look.
