Antique Victorian 'Regard' Ring in Silver

A wonderful striking Victorian motto ring, rich in sentiment and character. A meaningful today as it was over 130 years ago.

Dating to the later 1800s, this substantial silver band is beautifully decorated with Gothic lettering, graduating in size across the surface to spell the word “Regard”. The bold, sculptural letters are eye catching while the soft patina enhances its antique charm.

In the language of Victorian jewellery, motto rings carried deeply personal meanings. Often gifted as tokens of affection and friendship with the word Regard meaning deep caring and heartfelt love. A quiet but powerful expression of love and respect held for another. 

The wide band and tactile lettering make this ring both visually striking and pleasing to wear. A fine example of Victorian design that balances boldness with intimacy.
