Antique Victorian Garnet & Pearl Ring in 9 Carat Gold; Circa 1870

An ornate Victorian ring dating to the mid Victorian era. Beautifully created in warm 9 carat gold it speaks to the look and feel of the jewellery of the 1800's. 

The richly decorative setting is adorned with five graduating almandine garnets and four lustrous pearls across the top of the ring. The raspberry and wine red tones of the garnets sit beautifully against the soft, creamy glow of the pearls.

The setting itself is particularly charming, with intricate gold work surrounding the stones and giving the ring a real sense of character. There is something wonderfully tactile about the piece. The kind of ring where the craftsmanship, age and many years of wear can genuinely be felt when held in the hand.

WEIGHT: 1.5 grams approximately.  

CONDITION: This is in lovely antique condition. There is a minot nibble to one edge garnet, and the setting on one looks like a later replacement and there is one little repair underneath the shoulder on one side.
