A charming Victorian fob, full of character and maybe even more wearable today as it was over 150 years ago.
Created from a gold cased base metal, the fob is set with a beautifully made glass intaglio, cleverly designed to imitate the rich appearance of bloodstone. The craftsmanship is very convincing!
The intaglio has been hand carved with the letter “E”, cut in reverse in the traditional manner so it could be used as a personal seal. The font is simple however is swirling in a classic ornate style
Simple and full of history, this is a lovely Victorian fob that captures the charm of everyday personal jewellery from the period. Once worn in gentleman's watch chain =, now they're sort after as pendants and necklaces.
