Antique Edwardian Gold Nugget & Diamond Brooch

A unusual Edwardian brooch, combining natural beauty with historical and skilled craftsmanship.

Designed in the classic bar brooch form and created from 9 carat gold, the piece is centred on a substantial natural gold nugget, left in its organic form. The raw, irregular texture of the nugget gives the brooch a wonderfully tactile and distinctive presence.

Most intriguingly an old cut diamond (approximately 0.25 carat) has been carefully set into the nugget itself. The setting has been executed with real skill that the diamond appears to sit naturally within the gold, almost as though it has been placed there by nature rather than by hand.

This seamless blending of raw gold and refined gemstone creates a beautiful contrast. Rugged yet elegant, organic yet considered.
