A beautiful Victorian glass wax seal. An everyday object from a bygone era it still has the tactile quality in the hand today as it did over 140 years ago.
Beautifully crafted from a single piece of amber yellow glass, the seal has a striking sculpture form, allowing it to sit proudly when not in use. The warm honeyed tones of the glass catch the light beautifully, giving the piece a rich, glowing appearance.
The square base has been hand engraved with the letter “A” in an ornate Gothic font, cut in reverse so that it would leave a crisp impression when pressed into sealing wax.
A tactile Victorian object, equally appealing as a decorative object or a functional collector's piece, celebrating the skill and craftmaindhip of everyday items from the 19th century.
