Antique Victorian Pearl Urn Mourning Ring in 15 Carat Gold

A beautiful and deeply sentimental early Victorian mourning ring, rich in symbolism and exquisite detail.

Created in 15 carat gold, the ring has a wonderfully buttery, warm hue, enhancing its soft glow. At the centre sits a round sardonyx stone, finely engraved with an urn motif. A traditional symbol of remembrance in 19th century mourning jewellery.

Surrounding the central panel is a delicate halo of pearls. In Victorian symbolism, pearls represented tears shed for a lost loved one, making their presence here especially poignant.

The shoulders are beautifully designed as three dimensional ribbons, also set with pearls. The remainder of the band is finely engraved, demonstrating the care and craftsmanship that has gone into every aspect of the piece.

The combination of sardonyx, pearls, and rich gold, along with the deep symbolism throughout, creates a ring that is both visually striking and emotionally resonant.
