A striking and highly symbolic Victorian tie pin. Beautifully created in 9 carat gold and designed in the form of a coiled serpent. At its centre sits a rich, deep red cabochon garnet, glowing warmly against the golden setting.

The snake motif was especially popular during the Victorian era, symbolising eternity, protection and eternal love. Its unbroken form representing continuity and devotion. Combined with the garnet, a stone long associated with passion and strength this piece carries both visual impact and sentiment.

Finely detailed and full of character, the pin retains a wonderful sense of presence despite its delicate scale. It is offered complete with its original antique box, adding an extra layer of charm and collectability.

A rare and evocative Victorian accessory, perfect for a collector or as a distinctive finishing touch to a lapel, cravat or tie. Rich in history, symbolism and timeless appeal.
