A deeply moving Victorian mourning ring. Designed from non-precious metal, yet carrying a sentiment as powerful and enduring as any piece made in the finest gold or diamonds. Jewellery such as this reminds us that its true value lies not in materials, but in love and remembrance.

Set into the ring is a bloodstone intaglio engraved with the touching phrase “Absent but not forgotten”; a simple yet profound expression of loss and memory that resonated strongly throughout the 19th century. Bloodstone was often chosen for mourning jewellery for its deep, solemn tones and its associations with protection.

Humble in material yet rich in feeling, this ring is a poignant survivor from the Victorian era. A personal token of grief and remembrance, worn close as a quiet tribute to someone dearly loved and never forgotten.
