An amazing and unusual Victorian era watch winder which is a perfect pendant. Meticulously crafted in the form of a detailed eagle’s head, complete with textured plumage, a strong curved beak, and expressive eyes. Dating to the date 1800's, this piece exemplifies the era’s fascination with both symbolism and utility. Even the most practical objects were transformed into miniature works of art.

At first glance, it appears to be an elegant pendant or fob, but is in fact a functional watch key. Originally used to wind a gentleman’s pocket watch. On the reverse, the eagle's head terminates in a finely polished bloodstone seal, rich in deep green with distinctive flecks of red. This most likely intended for personal monogramming or a heraldic crest, though this one remains unengraved.

The eagle, long associated with power, vision, and nobility, was a potent Victorian motif. Today, this piece makes a striking pendant for a collector of antique curiosities, heraldic jewellery, or unusual Victorian treasures.
