A jewel alive with colour and light. This Victorian cluster ring, created in rich 15 carat gold, features a striking central old cut ruby with a halo of fiery opals. The ruby glows with a warm pinkish red, while the surrounding opals flash with shifting tones of green, blue, and orange. The colours changing with every movement of the hand.
The band itself is beautifully detailed, with ornate hand engraved shoulders that speak to the artistry of the Victorian jeweller. Together, the play of colour from the stones and the craftsmanship of the gold create a ring that feels both vibrant and timeless. Though one opal has suffered a minor nibble the ring has lost no presence or charm.
A true piece of antique character, this ring would have dazzled in candlelight in the 19th century, just as it still captivates in the sunlight today. Perfect as a statement piece, or as a meaningful token with layers of history and symbolism.
