The term ‘Mizpah is found in Genesis 31:49, it means ‘watchtower and is used as a prayer, meaning “May the Lord keep watch between you and me when we are away from each other. The Victorian era was filled with symbols and declarations of love and remembrance.

Usually given as a token of love between lovers, friends or family, this piece would be beautiful gesture of a gift.

This Mizpah brooch has been created from 9 carat gold in Edwardian England. The choice of gold gold means this band has a buttery rich golden glowing.

The ‘mizpah has been perfectly picked out in relief on the front of the brooch. The pronounced nature of the font is complemented by the Ivy decorated on the second heart. The use of Ivy was symbolic during Victorian and Edwardian times of the everlasting bond of love.
