A striking antique Odd Fellows brooch. Created in 9 carat gold this jewel is rich in symbolism and history.

Designed as a gently curved panel brooch, the piece is beautifully decorated with vibrant enamel. At its centre is the emblem of a hand with a heart, beneath which appear the letters "FLT". This distinctive imagery is associated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, one of the world's oldest fraternal organisations.

Founded in the 18th century, the Odd Fellows promoted the values of Friendship, Love, and Truth; represented by the initials F.L.T. These principles formed the foundation of the society, which was dedicated to charity, aid, and supporting members and their communities at a time when social welfare systems were virtually non existent. Jewellery and regalia bearing these emblems were proudly worn by members as symbols of their shared ideals and fellowship.

The combination of warm 9 carat gold, rich enamel, and meaningful symbolism makes this brooch both an attractive piece of jewellery and a fascinating historical object. Whether appreciated for its connection to the Odd Fellows or simply admired for its unusual design, it is a wonderful conversation piece.
