Antique Sentimental Brooch in 18 Carat Gold; Circa 1832

One of the neatest and daring sentimental brooch. Dating to 1832 this was gifted between two the year after as can been seen from a wonderful inscriptions within. 

In remarkable condition this brooch has been created as a locket, with the central compartment filled with the original blonde hair neatly plated under a glazed panel. The reverse of the brooch has a hand engraved which reads 'AB to RJ April 8th 1833' 

Created from 18 carat gold  it has been well looked after and would have been a dearly treasured piece of jewellery. Filled with history and sentiments, this would be an amazing addition to anyones jewellery collection. It can be worn as a brooch, chain extender or a wonderful pendant.
