An evocative Georgian ring, dating to around between 1770 and 1800. This ring represents generations of love and the journey of time in one sublime creation.
The ring has the classic Georgian basket setting, with a bright and beautifully crisp rose cut diamond at its centre, flanked by a smaller diamond to either side. The stones are set within silver, while the band is warm 15–18 carat gold, creating the characteristic combination so beloved of early antique jewellery.
There is something particularly enchanting about this little ring. It has the unmistakable feeling of a jewel that has travelled through time. The softened gold, hand cut diamonds and historic setting carrying the traces of the many hands and lives it has passed through over more than two centuries.
Small jewels like this are perhaps the most tangible pieces of history: made by hand around 1800, worn, loved and eventually passed down until it finds its next keeper. A tiny survivor from the Georgian world, with a story that began over 225 years ago.
