An enchanting Georgian rock crystal locket. A combination of elegant simplicity with the refined craftsmanship of the early 19th century plus a function element to make it your own!
The locket is formed from two faceted rock crystal panels, creating the front and back. The edge of cut facets glistening in the light. Their remarkable clarity allows light to pass beautifully through the piece while offering a glimpse of the treasured keepsake held within. At the top, a silver ribbon motif is adorned with graduating rose cut diamonds.
Created with gold edge fittings, the locket opens to reveal a compartment ready to hold a cherished photograph, lock of hair, or other precious memento, continuing the sentimental purpose for which it was originally created.
Rock crystal was highly prized during the Georgian period while rose cut diamonds, with their softly faceted surfaces, were designed to shimmer beautifully in candlelight. Together they create a jewel that is both elegant and deeply personal.
