Georgian Gold Oval Glazed Locket Pendant; Circa 1830

A beautiful Georgian locket, created in warm 9 carat gold and wonderful scale. The oval shaped form features glass panels on both sides, creating a special compartment perfect for holding a cherished memento or keepsake.

The locket is currently vacant, however it would be a wonderful place to hold a special momento. Item such as these often hold pictures, lock of hair, notes or even loose stones. 

Lockets such as this were treasured in the Georgian and early Victorian eras as personal symbols of love and devotion. The craftsmanship, weight, and quiet elegance of this piece speak beautifully of its age.
