Shibayama & Mother of Pearl Pendant in Sterling Silver

A enchanting object, this pendant would be a lovely addition to any jewellery lovers collection.

Created from a sterling silver frame, inside has been placed a mother pf pearl token. Iridescent and totally enchanting the front face has been designed with bugs. Using a Japanese technique called Shibayama, the surface has been adorned with inlay from stones, shells and resin along with engraving to give the look of life like insects. 

We adore this ancient technique and the magic it can create!
