This a beautiful example of a rare Victorian locket ring and in amazing original condition! Truly remarkable. It may not be made of the finest most valuable materials, however the love it holds is invaluable!
A beautiful signet that hides a secret locket compartment. When the shield is opened it will reveal a compartment which still has its original photograph which has been colourised of a young woman. Her hair and style typical of the era.The click lock is nice and secure.
There is even a lovely inscription on the reverse which reads EJM - ELM Mizpah Xmas 1911. A wonderful gesture, as ‘Mizpah‘ is a term used to ask gold for protection over loved ones.
A wonderful ring and rare piece of historical jewellery. This would have been a deeply cherished momento, worn and loved!
