A mesmerising curio Victorian signet ring. This sort after ring has been created in warm 9 carat gold and set with a rich green bloodstone panel.
At first glance, this appears to be a classic Victorian signet, but hidden within is a rare and highly sought after feature. The bloodstone itself lifts, revealing a tiny concealed locket compartment beneath.
This secret compartment transforms the ring from a handsome signet into something deeply personal. Such hidden spaces were often used to hold a tiny photograph, miniature keepsake or other sentimental memento, allowing something precious to be carried discreetly and close to the wearer.
The combination of the traditional bloodstone signet and concealed compartment makes this a particularly special example. It is the kind of jewel that reveals its secret only to those who know where to look.
