A striking Victorian brooch designed in the form of a bejewelled dragonfly. Exquisitely created in gold and silver and alive with intricate detail. The finely modelled body and outstretched wings are set with hand cut diamonds, catching the light with every movement and giving the piece a wonderful sense of animation. Almost like morning dew on its body.
Adding warmth and depth, four garnet cabochons are set into the design, their rich tones providing a beautiful contrast to the sparkle of the diamonds. Every element of the dragonfly is carefully articulated, reflecting the Victorian fascination with nature and masterful craftsmanship.
The brooch is completed with a particularly charming detail: the pin terminal is finished with a single pearl, a subtle and elegant touch.
Both whimsical and luxurious, this exceptional brooch is a captivating example of Victorian naturalistic jewellery. A rare and highly collectible piece, and a true statement of artistry and imagination.
