Antique Diamond & Dollar Drop Earrings; Circa 1850

A truly unique pair of earrings, bringing together two remarkable Victorian elements to create an amazing design.

The exact date of their creation is unknown, however both components date to the Victorian era. At the top of each earring is a 9 carat gold disc, beautifully set with a hand cut old diamond. The diamonds catch the light with the soft, romantic sparkle that only antique cut stones can achieve.

Suspended below each is the real statement. A 1853 American One Dollar gold coin, struck in solid rich buttery 22 carat gold. These historic coins are highly sought after in their own right, making their incorporation into a pair of earrings especially unusual.

Unlike anything else, these are exceptional statement earrings. A beautiful marriage of Victorian craftsmanship, antique diamonds, and historic 1853 American 22 carat  dollar coins.
