Substantial Vintage Intaglio Ring in Silver

A striking unusual vintage ring. Combining bold mid century design with a fragment of much earlier history its a unique creation. 

Created in silver, the ring features a substantial Brutalist setting, defined by its sculptural claw like flowing setting. The design is very architectural, embodying the raw, heavy expressive aesthetic of the period.

Set within this mount is something truly unexpected; an antique paste intaglio. Once part of a wax seal, the stone is designed with a detailed equestrian scene, capturing a rider in motion full of charm. The juxtaposition of the historic carving against the bold, modernist setting creates a fascinating contrast.
