A fine example of 19th-century craftsmanship, this antique signet ring dates to the Victorian era and carries with it a sense of heritage and quiet strength. The central panel is engraved with the intertwining letters S and R hand carved into Sardonyx. Though the engraving shows gentle softening with age, the design remains clear, a testament to its years of wear and history.
Signet rings have been worn for centuries as emblems of identity, authority, and personal values. This is a wonderful example as it is most likely a unique commission with no expense spared on the materials and design. Being created from 18 carat gold and weighing over 7 grams; it's a substantial signet ring. Tactile on the hand.
The timeless form of the signet ring ensures it sits comfortably on the hand, whether worn daily as a personal piece or kept as a treasured piece in a collection of heirlooms. With its blend of symbolic engraving and Victorian charm, this ring is as much a conversation piece as it is a wearable work of art.
