Victorian 15 Carat Gold & Agate Intaglio Watch Winder Fob Pendant; Circa 19th Century

A beautiful and unusual Victorian watch winder fob. Now perfectly suited for wear as a pendant. Created in rich 15 carat gold, it holds a softly luminous white translucent agate. Ethereal in tone., the soft white and warm gold are matched perfectly. 

The agate is finely engraved with an intaglio depicting a hand holding a snowflake, a delicate and intriguing image rich with meaning. In Victorian symbolism, the hand often represented loyalty, friendship, and connection. The snowflake, unique and fleeting, symbolised purity and the beauty of the moment. 

Originally designed to wind a gentleman’s pocket watch, this piece has been beautifully preserved and now finds a new life as a pendant, its intricate details and gentle glow lending it both elegance and history. Perfect for any antique jewellery lover.
