Substantial Antique Carnelian Intaglio Ring in 9 Carat Gold

A striking antique ring dating to the late 1800s, striking for its bold proportions and wonderfully carved heraldic detail.

The most eye catching feature is undoubtedly the substantial carnelian stone. Hand cut and beautifully proportioned, the square panel glows with rich amber red tones that catch the light with a deep natural warmth.

Carved into the centre of the stone is a lion crest, finely engraved with crisp detail. The lion has long been a symbol of courage and strength, giving the ring a powerful heraldic feel.

The mount itself is designed in simple 9 carat gold, deliberately understated to allow the dramatic carnelian intaglio to remain the clear focal point. The clean lines of the setting perfectly complement the boldness of the stone, creating a ring that feels both elegant and confident.
